First, I would like to stipulate that I am an avid Skin Ceutical consumer.I have reached my sixties, and although I have been told that "I really look pretty good for my age" I am like most women at this stage in that I have not escaped the inevitable fine lines and the onset of wrinkles. I chose this year to do something about this concern.First I went through a CO2 treatment to get rid of any sunspots that had accumulated over the years. I'm 61 years old, have always taken great care of my skin and am no stranger to a good skin care regime but, despite all my efforts, fine (and not so fine) lines kept appearing and deepening and nothing I tried worked. Over the past few years I've been conscientious about the products that I put on my skin. There are so many (literally thousands) of possible products to use, each one of them with different effects both positive and negative. It's quite hard because of this to find the right balance of products for my skin, which is why I've been diligently trying different recommended products over the past year to find the right combination. I've chosen Olay Total Effects because there are a number of different benefits to this cream that you'd only find by using multiple creams at once. I like the idea of cutting down on what I put on my face, not adding more. It gives me UV protection which his crucial, and also has plenty of Niacinamide (Vitamin B) which helps prevent the aging of skin. One thing this product does not have is a lot of Vitamin C. They use simple ascorbic acid in this product, which is supposed to help the face absorb the moisture. I waited several months before rating this product to make sure it was good for long term use. I have always had combination skin and was concerned it wouldn't work. It has been the product I've been waiting for. I wish I would've purchased Olay 7-IN-1 a long time ago. I have had problems with acne, oily skin, and areas on my cheeks that resemble rosacea. After using this product I am pleasantly surprised. Everything has improved dramatically. My husband has noticed the improvement. Ok I was going to wait until I used this awhile before I gave a review because people give reviews after a few days and says how great something is without giving it a chance to work or not work.I've been using this since beginning of December. I am 47 so started getting wrinkles under my eyes ugghhh. So got this due to the reviews but was skeptic. I put it under my eyes in the morning when I took a shower and waited for it to try maybe 5 mins and then put my own lotion on it. I started seeing results in 2 weeks not one day like someone say. But it's been almost 2 months and I have no wrinkles under my eyes. Not sure how it gets rid of them? I am guessing it plumps your skin up somehow but it's got me hooked and I'll continue to use it. Hope this helps someone.

This stuff is amazing and so affordable, I wish I had discovered it years ago. I noticed an immediate overnight change in the texture of my skin, it was smoother, my pores were smaller. I've used several brands of hyaluronic acid to help my skin look fresher and more youthful, and this is by far the best! It has a wonderful emollient texture that makes it easy and pleasant to apply, but doesn't slow the drying. It smells like roses, and that's a pleasant bonus. (I don't like most product fragrances, but this one is light and natural). And, most important of all, it works wonderfully and causes no flaking, breakouts, or weirdness.One thing I should note: I apply this first and let it dry before I apply my moisturizer. The general idea is that hyaluronic acid pulls moisture into your skin and keeps it there; in itself, it does not moisturize. So I don't know how well it would work if used in any other way, but it definitely helps my skin utilize my moisturizer and the difference is immediately visible.

I am 66 and I have used GM Collin for years. There were so many bottles to keep track of what to put on when and it was getting too expensive. Okay, it's only been a few days but I swear I can already see a difference. I was BORN with scowl marks, and believe it or not, they seem to be less severe already. Im 54 yrs old have dry skin. I was using the la mer for about 6 months and just switched to Vernal. Within 1 week I have seem a softening on the lines around my mouth & between my eyebrows. Not greasy, soaks right in and my skin is soft and smooth as could be. Expensive yes, but it works. The cream is thicker than la mer but doesn't sink into lines. I just turned 30 last month, so I only have some fine lines. I had a lot of skin imperfections, however, such as dark spots and overall uneven blotchiness. Acne isn't normally an issue for me, but a new medication caused me to get a horrible break out that left me with dark marks that I couldn't even cover up without being obvious. After I got rid of the acne, I decided to look for something to get rid of the marks.After a week and a half, only 2 spots were still standing. I had some mild, fine lines around my eyes and mouth from being a smoker for 10 years, and these are gone now that a month has passed.I have to say, even if the lines and spots were still there; I would continue to use this product because my skin is no longer blotchy, it's firmer and I have a nice smooth complexion. People have been asking me what I've been doing - they can't put their fingers on it, but they say I have a glow to me and that I look great. That's definitely worth the money, in my book.

Great Product for the Price

Was using Kinerase line before trying this product...went immediately from my Kinerase regimen (cleanser,toner, cream, and eye formula)to the Olay Pro X line...it's been three weeks and I cannot tell a difference between Kinerase and Pro X...will definitely purchase ProX again. I have read some disappointing reviews of this product line but I strongly beg to differ. I was pleasantly suprised. As much as any of us hate to admit, how well we age is determined predominately by genetics plus exercise, good nutrition, hydration, sunscreen and regular skin care. No skin care line is going to be a miracle for any of us...my philosophy is to think young and age gracefully. If you are still not satisfied, consider a plastic surgeon. Besides, Consumer Reports (both USA and France)tested a variety of skincare lines (StriVectin, Lancome, La Mer, included) and found that after a couple of months, Olay had the BEST results of any of them...and I must admit that Consumer Reports is usually on target. I recommend this line...and if the ProX is too much, Regenerist is a great alternative. I am very satifsfied and will continue to purchase this product in the future Why I have wasted so much money on lines like Kinerase, Dr Hauschka, and NV Perricone, I'll never know. I guess we really want to believe that the more expensive a product line, the better it is...save your money and spend it on great hair color, cut and makeup...just as effective in my humble opinion.

I am a pale, blue eyed blonde with roseacea from my red haired irish mother. My skin is my worst feature, so I have spent years and money chasing every skin care promise made by most American manufacturers. In my experience, Olay has been an "ok" product, but seemed "watery" to me, never a very effective line for moisturizing skin that really needs moisture. The Pro-X Hydra Firming Cream was a total surprise. It felt like silk going on, and my skin went to a "normal" color of skin....it eliminated the redness (not permanently, but for about 10 hours until the next application). I don't know how to express the feeling this gives my skin other than to say my skin felt "relaxed", and my color "calmed down." I re-ordered this product because while it did noticeably help the appearance of fine lines, I mostly became addicted to how it made my skin feel. I do put a moisturizer on top of the Hydra firming cream, and it seems to work fine in cooperation with a moisturizer.

I love this cream. I have been suffering for several years with atopic dermatitus. My forehead gets dry and extremely itchy, and I am prone to fungal infections behind my ears and on my neck. As far as the latter, my dermatologist said that my skin barrier wasn't working as it should. I recently went through allergy patch testing and now know what hair care products that I'm allergic to. Steroid creams provide relief from the itching and the dry skin, but they thin the skin and turn it red. When I heard the ProX commercial and the words, "restores moisture barrier", I had to try this product. I now avoid those products to which I am allergic, and use this cream. In the morning I put the cream on my forehead and ears before my makeup routine, and in the evening I use the cream as suggested. My skin is on the mend, and looks great. Does it firm the skin? I've seen some improvement in the deep folds that run from my nose to my chin. I will continue to use this product.

I'm 57 and just lost 64 lbs. As a result, I had these hideously ugly wrinkly excess skin lines under my chin and throat. I was contemplating ultherapy at $250 a session, and I've never contemplated a cosmetic procedure. I knew I needed a good firming lotion, and decided on this one. I've never written a review on any products before, but this product deserved it. About 45 minutes after my first application, I just happened to look in the mirror and couldn't believe what I saw. There was a good 70-75% improvement. Now it's been 4 days later and these lines are almost gone. Best cosmetic purchase I ever made. Very happy.

This cream is such a change from the oily night creams I've been using (like L'Oreal Revitalift, other Olay products, Avon, Arbonne, Lancome). It has a wonderful, silky texture. It is a bit tacky until completely absorbed, but my skin looks more radiant, is much better hydrated and yes, looks and feels much firmer. I don't know if the firmness is just a temporary or cosmetic illusion, or if in time the product will actually make my skin firmer, but I swear I am seeing a difference in my neck, face and decollete. I'm using the Pro-X Starter Kit with this product, and I'm using the Hydra cream twice a day.

Well, maybe not instant ... it takes a few minutes! I don't know if this cream has any long-lasting effects, but it does everything it promises and does it well. You don't need to use a lot ... just apply it to the areas with wrinkles and prepare to be pleasantly surprised.

I absolutely love this cream! It is super light and actually firms...while still moisturizing! I've been using it for a couple weeks now and I can seriously see a big difference in my skin --How it looks AND how it feels!
