It came as no shock that after years of swimming my skin was in need of some serious TLC. What I didn't realize was how important finding the right combination of moisturizer + collagen rebuilder was to this type of intensive care. To be more specific, I went to my dermatologist to discuss my situation and she gave me some pretty informative opinions. Heavy sun exposure is the main culprit for aging skin, as sun affects the collagen, which is a protein fiber produced in the body that keeps you looking young. The sun damages this protein, which is why we ladies who sun a lot look older. What I didn't know was that a moisturizer alone wouldn't do the trick. Either product alone would not be nearly as effective as using both. I have tried other Neutrogena Sunblocks ( Dry touch and Sensitive Skin) they both left my face either white or greasy. This was in my mom's bedroom so I decided to try it, I was amazed, it felt like I was wearing nothing. No white cast, no oily face. I'm prone to acne so I don't enjoy sunblocks but I have pale skin with freckles so I need sunblock. With my previous sunblock (cetaphil spf 50) I had to wear powder on top of it to get rid of the shine but with Neutrogena Spf 110 there is no need. The price is a little high but I loved it so much that I bought it the same day after trying it.

Ok, ranking lotions and sunscreens isn't what I usually do, but after reading a lot of reviews on Amazon, I settled on this product. Even though I live in the Southwest, I've been slow to get on the sunscreen band-wagon. But, I'm spending more time outside -- exercising :> -- and we haven't seen a real cloud here in New Mexico in quite some time.I'm a 52-year-old male, and as I read the various reviews on Amazon--of this and comparable products--I pictured them being written by younger women, all with good skin. What sold me were two reviews: One written by an 80+ year old woman who says she has used the product for years, and one by someone who says it doesn't burn the eyes. For whatever reason, my eyes are sensitive to most lotions (they burn), so I've avoided using sunscreen on the face.All that stated, this is a good product and one I will stick with for now. As others have noted, the lotion isn't greasy or oily. If I put too much on at one time, there are white 'streaks,' but I found that two applications, using less lotion, tackles this. There is a slight 'suntan product' odor, but it's not strong and I'm sure no one can smell it but me.Anyhow, let's hope it achieves its ultimate goal, which is reducing the likelihood I'll get burned--or worse, skin cancer.

Some Neutrogena products work for me and some don't-this is one that exceeds all other Neutrogena products! I have oily acne prone skin that is very pale. Over the years I have built up less sun tolerance, and a need for sunscreen daily because of the use of other products that my skin very sensitive to sunlight. It does leave a slight white sheen on the face-but because of this I only need a powder and not a liquid foundation as well. I have never burned when using this sunblock and my skin does not breakout because of it. Some sunblocks make my skin turn red and get a burning sensation around this eyes-this does neither and my eyes never water after application.This is both a chemical and physical sunscreen. It does have the spf smell even though it says it is fragrance free (depending on the tube/box you get) but it is nowhere near as bad as other sunscreens. Although it is suppose to be reapplied frequently-I apply it twice a day and most and do not have trouble with burning.A note to Neutrogena-please start distributing in Australia/Asia! This is truely the BEST EVER anti-agine moisturizer with retinol I have ever tried. I have tried many different brands but Tree of Life is without the best choice. So many that I have tried with retinol have been very harsh on my skin causing redness or the nextday extreme pealing. I am very pleased with this product because it is gentle on my shin and I have noticed a beautiful softeningof the wrinkles on my forehead which other brands have not done so quickly. I have been using the retinol cream anti wrinkle only a short time and I can already tell a difference in my skin. I love it. The dark spots started to diminish almost with the first application and I have not developed any drying. Nothing I have tried in the past has helped with my dark spots before. My skin feels amazing. I tried this one while hiding out from the world in Crisfield, Maryland for the Christmas-New Year holiday season with my relatives. I like it a lot! I am an "Olay" fan anyway, but have also used some other products. I heard on the TV that the Olay Regenerist line was "the best" or something like that, so here is my story:It has a nice creamy texture. It goes on your face smooth and it just really feels good going on. It does have a semi-heavy scent blast that hits you when you put the first smear on, but it is not overwhelming and it seems to disipate quickly. My preference would be to have it without the scent. The cream just feels really good going on your face, kind of like putting your face on a cool satin pillow. The cream soaks in really nice too. It does not feel like it's going to rub off on the pillow when you hit the bed 5 minutes later like some other creams do. It also does not feel sticky like some creams do. After 4 days use on my face and neck, morning and evening, my face and neck feel really nice and soft (silky soft). I would think (based on my initial results) that this cream would have really nice results when used over an extended period of time.I believe this cream holds its own against the other face products that I use, which include the Victoria Principal line, the Olay line, and the Seacret line (in the malls, from the Dead Sea). (I switch around between the products.)The directions are really hard to read on this 1.7 oz red jar but they say the usual. They tell you to apply in small circular motions and avoid getting it into your eyes and to rinse with water if you do. (Duh. A no-brainer.) The formula was changed

I used this creme for years and it was perfect for my sensitive skin until recently. It was as good as expensive department store brands. However, the last jar (unscented) caused stubborn dry patches, clogged pores and breakouts. No more soft skin. The creme's texture wasn't as fine either. Luckily, I kept the box it came in. Checked the ingredients. Gone is the marine protein. Added are cheap fillers like olive oil and nylon. The olive oil base also wrecks makeup. Sadly, this creme is just another chemical-laden drugstore product now. My local Walgreens sells it for $32.99. I reported this bad experience to Olay and they are refunding my money via one of their company-issued debit cards. Now I have to go through the hassle of finding a reasonably priced replacement for the original great product.

I was very disappointed when I received this product. There were several differences from the same item I bought retail.. It did not have the logo Olay imbedded into the lid. The front label of the container was totally different, it did not include the (tm) next to the words" micro-sculpting cream". The original Olay product is made by P & G in Cincinnati OH, this product is labeled, made in Thailand. Lot# is imbedded on the one I purchased retail and a label was used on this one, finally, cream is thinner and had a different scent that the one I purchased retail. Needless to say I believe this is a knockoff and have notified Olay. I would recommend that Amazon check this vendor out and question the products being supplied to Amazon's customers. I'm just sorry I can't get my money back. Will only by this product retail in the future.

(This review includes what happened with Regenerist micro-sculpting Serum, because the instructions say to use them together for best results.)I was satisfied with Olay 7-in-One anti-aging moisturizer for my face, so I tried the Regenerist Serum first on my neck, and as recommended, used the Olay Micro-Sculpting Moisture Cream afterward.I've started getting some "turkey sagging" and since I already trusted my previous Olay face products, I decided to try this Serum and Cream for the neck. The first morning I woke up, my neck seemed to look a little better (this product promises firming by the 5th day). So I used it on my face too. By the third morning, my skin looked awful. There was new puffiness UNDER the bags under my eyes, plus wrinkly sagging on my cheekbones that had never been there before! I looked like E.T. the Extra-terrestrial (movie)! And my neck had NEW wrinkles on it! The wrinkles had spread from just in the center of my neck to additional wrinkles slightly to the sides. I said to myself, this has to be something else... but by the 7th morning it was undeniable and even more prominent than the 3rd morning.This Moisturizer, applied after the Serum, stays sticky all night, and when I tried wearing it in the morning, my foundation wouldn't spread well over this greasy substance. I also noticed new clogged pores resulting in white-headed milia.I've gone back to my Olay 7-in-One Fragrance Free Moisturizer, which has kept my wrinkles from increasing for two years, and makes my older wrinkles look less obvious, and my foundation goes on smoothly and without getting into creases. I use it in the daytime. I've gone back to my old lightweight night moisturizer from Neutrogena Naturals, and both of these things (thank goodness!) brought my skin back to where it was before. I'll be trying these old favorites on my neck, which I'd never thought of doing. And I'll be happier with how I look!

Sensitive skin? Read this!

I am 39 years old and have very sensitive skin, and because of that I had been using fragrance-free products by Clinique. I always thought I looked pretty young until I saw a picture of myself at 29. My skin was so much better looking! After doing some research I decided to give this a try based upon the favorable reviews, low cost and the fact that it's fragrance free. (Perfumed lotions make me sneeze).After one use, I noticed a few things. My skin did tingle slightly for a couple of hours, but it wasn't painful; just mildly annoying. But there was no rash or irritation. My cheeks looked a bit red, however it appeared more like a natural tint. The second thing I noticed is that my skin almost immediately looked better! I know that sounds crazy. I also didn't need to put on any blush because of the tint I mentioned. As the day wore on, the tingling went away. (I also started using Neutrogena Light Night Cream for a moisturizer- it's fragrance-free, and doesn't have sunscreen which I don't need every day.)I applied it the next morning again and noticed the same things. I decided to try it every other day and have to say I REALLY notice a difference! My skin looks almost as good as my pic from ten years ago.I think the minor discomfort I mentioned is due to my sensitivity to most products, but because I am so pleased with the results I'm sticking with it.Update: After using this for a week I no longer have any sensitivity and my skin is incredibly soft and luminous!Update 11/2013: I'm going to be turning 46 and still use and love this item!

Great for fine lines and overall skin appearance

After one month of daily use, here is my verdict: This stuff works. It's not magic, it's not a miracle, it doesn't transform every wrinkle and age spot. But it makes your skin look BETTER than before, which is all we can really hope for, isn't it?I've noticed a somewhat dramatic change in the fine lines around my eyes (no, I don't use a separate eye cream). They are smoother and much less noticeable. The few age spots I've developed seem to be lighter. Overall, looking at my face in the mirror now, I sometimes have to do a double-take because my skin looks so much better and brighter. The permanent dark circles under my eyes are even lighter.I have acne prone skin and I was nervous about using a new moisturizer, but quickly found that my skin actually CLEARED UP while using this product. Likely, it was due to my regimented focus on skin care in general, but this did NOT contribute to any breakouts at all.This is one product I can see myself using for a very long time.Update: Four years later, and I'm still using this product regularly. I stopped for a few months at one point and found my skin started to look somewhat dull. Being in my 40s, this is prime aging time, but I don't feel that my face is betraying me anymore. I have to give Olay a little bit of the credit.

Love it but concern on some of the ingredients

I used this product and love it. When my cousin told me that some of olay products contains ingredients that are deemed as "cancer causing in animal" and organ toxicity etc.... according to skin deep web site. I google those ingredients and found that four ingredients cyclopentasiloxane(first ingredient), Ethyparaben, propylparaben and methylparaben(actually banned in Europe to be used in skin product) are the bad ingredient. I am now totally torned as I love it on my skin and concerned that it might be the causes for my fribromygia. So, I hope Olay will remove these ingredients and produce some product that are green and non-toxic.

I'm now 62. I have excellent, wrinkle free skin which I attribute to 3 main things, and if you are much younger and want to reach 62 with good skin, I'd advise you to read these 3 things and consider following them:1) I never was a sun worshipper in my youth. In my teens and 20's, we didn't have the knowledge about sun damage that we have now. In fact, when I was a teen people slapped on suntan OIL to increase the sun's effects! Lucky for me, I just hated baking in the sun so I rarely did it. I've only had a few real "tans" in my life. I always hated being so white, but of course now I'm glad about all this in retrospect. So the lack of suntanning was possibly the #1 thing that was good, and that was actually pure luck as it turned out. Now, when I'm in the sun I really slather on the highest SPF possible and I just don't allow any tanning to take place.2) I was never a smoker, and I was also a very light, occasional drinker. Lifetime smokers (particularly women) really do pay for this indulgence in their later years. Drinkers as well.3) A certain degree of good genes probably helped, but I think it's mainly lifestyle, ladies. Everyone I know who was either one or more of these...a constant sun worshipper, a regular or heavy drinker, a smoker....these people now look 15 to 20 years older than I look. I am always mistaken for my 35 year old daughter's sister. My daughter has girlfriends who have been solid drinkers, and they now look older than I do. Drinking takes a toll on your skin. My suntanning/drinking/smoking classmates now greatly regret doing these things because of the cumulative bad effect it had on their looks. I didn't know my own lifestyle would so positively affect my skin 25 to 30 years later, but I'm oh-so-glad I made the choices I made.Read more ›

I recognize that this product is made primarily for and definitely marketed to women. HOWEVER (hear me out here), as a guy in his late 20s who is beginning to notice the appearance of lines around the eyes and on the forehead, Revitalift Night Cream knows no gender.I started using this earlier this year and noticed a marked difference in the lines on the side of my face. I use this in conjunction with the Revitalift eye cream every night before bed and since using it, my skin feels healthier overall and helps to make me look less tired in the morning. The price on this is pretty decent, and significantly cheaper on Amazon than the Walgreens and Rite Aid by my house, even when it's on sale.This also has a nice, non-greasy cold cream consistency to it. Rubs right in, even over facial hair, and doesn't feel at all sticky or oily.Since I'm wearing this stuff at night, no one knows about it (I supposed except for you, dear reader), but I'm here to tell you all: skin care isn't just for the ladies. I wish more skin care companies would start marketing more towards men with products like this since we have just as much weird skin stuff as the ladies and we don't need some stigma attached to wanting healthy looking skin!

This is the best cream I've ever used. Even after one week I could tell a difference in my skin. It was smoother and softer. It does have a light fragrance but it's not over powering at all. The longer I've used it the better my skin looks. It makes your skin feel silky smooth after you apply it. If your face feels greasy it's because you've applied too much. Just a little bit goes a long way. I also apply it to the tops of my hands at night and they also look smoother and younger. I have sensitive skin and this does not irritate it at all. However, I can only speak for myself as I've used other products for sensitive skin and they were very irritating to me. The price is good and it works. I couldn't ask for anything more.

used this product for some wrinkles around my eyes. It really improved my skin. Wrinkles are not gone but visibly reduced!great cream, only negative is the added fragrance, it's not a deal breaker but why add it?

I've been a Clinique girl for many years, until my local store went out of business. After trying several other brands, I landed on the L'Oreal RevitaLift cream. I love it! First of all, it does not have much of a fragrance. I have sensitive skin and this has never irritated my face. It's a thick cream that really does seem to keep my face moisturized well into the next morning (I apply it at night). I'm not certain of its wrinkle-fighting potential as I just hit 30, but based on the hydration, I imagine it would work very well to smooth out wrinkles. Hopefully it will hold mine at bay a while longer!Amazon's price is actually a little less than buying this locally, which I also love. One jar lasts me about 30 days, so it's a great value as well.Overall, highly recommended.

I started using RevitaLift Night Cream about a month ago and have been told by TWO different people that I look younger. With that kind of feedback, of course I love this cream!

I have tried many OTC skin products and this works the best so far. Although I like Olay, Murad and Clinique, they really did not provide the results I was looking for. I also tried l'oreal's brand that contains Bosewelox but it really fell flat,IMO this is the best under $30 face and eye cream. I see visible reduction in my eye area. Mind you, I don't have deep wrinkles...I am just starting to get creases so for those of you with deep set wrinkle or lines I cannot speak to its efficacy. Otherwise if you're late 20's or 30's with relatively mild lines you may see good results. it helps me look well reasted. This product is not too heavy and does not encourage breakouts -(yeah I still get those drats!)I have combination olive skin ...hope this helps!

Softens skin and helps firmness (a little bit)

I love this product as a moisturizer. The scent is pleasant and not too strong (although it is significant), and it does not feel greasy. It makes my skin very soft and has not caused any breakouts (which I am prone to with some moisturizers). I use it on my face and neck and have noticed some slight firming of the skin, especially on my neck. I have been using tjis for about 3 months and I am very pleased with this product, especially for the price compared to others I have tried.

A wonderful moisturizer that I have used for about a year now. It seems to work as well as anything else I have ever used for keeping the wrinkles at bay and helping my skin look revitalized. Of course nothing can beat a good nights sleep and plenty of water, but I am happy with this product and will keep buying it.
